Originating from Le Marche, a historical region famous for leather craft and shoemaking, the ISM team embraces three decades of Italian artisans’ knowledge, mastery, dedication and passion to deliver the best Italian manufacturing to a niche upscale market.

Our Location
ISM is based in Le Marche, Italy, a region overlooking rolling valleys and boasting more than 3,000 footwear suppliers, manufacturers, shoe companies, artisans, workshops and tanneries.

The ISM team is a collective of specialists in footwear and handbags design, sourcing, production and management. Our highly experienced traditional & contemporary craftspeople, designers, consultants and technicians for generations have been delivering the best of Italian manufacturing to the global market. Valentina Franca
Senior PM & General Manager
She worked as QC manager for collections of international brands such as Zegna, Scervino, Icicle, Alaïa, Attico and MiuMiu. She joined the ISM team in 2017 and since then gained invaluable experience managing the production of countless fashion brands and shoe companies, from startups to luxury labels, working directly and closely with artisans, craftsmen, workshops, factories and material suppliers, at the same time managing the overall production process, liaising and advising designers and brand’s Product managers. In her life, Valentina loves long mountain treks and being in touch with nature; she’s also inseparable from her pets.
Alessia Carpera
Senior PM
Alessia’s client portfolio includes both, start ups and well-established luxury brands, which makes her very knowledgeable in managing different types of projects and getting “on the same page” with the clients very quickly. She is also an expert on material sourcing, covering both leathers and sustainable materials such as vegan fibres and vegetable tanned leather. In her life, Alessia is an excellent skier and would never miss a chance to spend a few days in the Alps.
Maria Giulia Pasquini
Project Manager
Having always been enjoying exposure to the international environment, Maria Giulia started her career as an interpreter at the biggest footwear fair in Milan (MICAM), where she developed her passion for the world of fashion. To learn more about the fashion industry, she did an internship at a Italian jewellery manufacturer where she was working closely with the foreign customer base.
She joined the ISM team in 2020 to continue her journey in the fashion environment. Her knowledge of languages and foreign cultures helped her to quickly get involved into the numerous projects and to successfully manage them. In her life, MG loves to travel and pick up a new language or a cooking recipe as souvenirs. She is also a professional cinema and theater “goer” and would never miss a new movie or a play coming out.
Gianluca Rogani
Lead artisan and paper pattern guru
After having gained a lot of experience, he decided to start his own prototyping and sampling workshop at his family handbag & shoe factory. In 2014 he joined the ISM team to become the lead artisan, bringing all his paper pattern experience to help our customers make even the most extravagant ideas come true. In his life, Gianluca enjoys playing tennis, football and…playstation.
